I get that Dems writing stern letters is a necessary part of our system of governance (important to get stuff in the record for court cases, posterity, and so on.) But if that's all that your elected representatives are doing, I'd argue they don't have the political chops needed in a crisis moment.

I'm sure not comfortable with this rhetorical tut-tutting while every level of civic society is dismantled by unelected goons.

Sadly, what I'm hearing from you is that you're as politically powerless as we are in this moment.
