They seem to hang out on the near side of the uncanny valley, without really committing to realism or fantasy. That said, you're totally right that the overly realistic look doesn't work as well for Oblivion.

23.11.2024 00:54 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0All of the maps use 10+ invisible mesh pieces for their collisions. The corner is a separate model from the back wall, for example. My guess is the early versions of these models overlapped each other, which could easily cause weird bounces like this.
