I *did* think it was horrible & couldn’t bear anymore after 3 eps. That’s not to say I have an issue with people who enjoy it, but the idea that queer media is a monolith whose only genre is men fucking is demeaning & reductive to both its creators & its audience.

I can relate bc I had the same experience with HR after so many IWTV fans kept singing its praises 🥲

3. Interview With the Vampire (AMC) The Vampire Lestat is basically a hot bisexual nightmare as gloriously played by Sam Reid. His on-again, off-again relationship with Louis is reminiscent of the torrid lust between Heated Rivalry’s Shane and Ilya, with some of the nuance as well—they come from different backgrounds and hold different values. You can watch season 3 of Interview With the Vampire on AMC later this year.

There was an article on Forbes recently that probably carries some of the blame for this. It was 10 shows to watch if you liked HR & I think anyone who’s read this wild plot description could be forgiven for having NO idea what they were about to witness.
