Also Jin Nasol, it was mentioned that her sensitivity to things is incredibly high and she gets painful headaches. So mention of her taking the painkiller took me off guard because, its that bad? I wonder if theres more to it too.

I do wonder if shes gonna be a key part in the pivotal moment of concluding the special city disaster though. Her thoughts of wishing and her wish feel like bait.

Genuinely sometimes wonder if she is human too though. Theres been several occasions where it was mentioned that she was surprisingly strong for her stature. Unless she has items that help buff her strength? Also with her wish, I wonder if she doesn’t consider herself as a good person?

Anyway, back to the chapter, the more I listened to lsh, the more I just envision Thanos snapping the earth haha. Shes just as wild as ever.

TLDR: there is likely more to whats going in with Choi than him not trusting kse. At least, that’s my take. If it turns out that it really was just him not trusting kse, then that is that.

I wonder if a similar case is here where kse thinks Choi doesn’t trust him because he can't see any other reason why Choi would act that way. I really want to know what is going through Choi's head.

Plus kse’s speculations can be wrong. He once thought gye made a wish to have Heo-un become better again. It was a few chapters later he realized that he was wrong and that gye made a wish to have Heoun’s wish come true instead.

Whats even fishy is when kse pondered why Choi didn't believe him, it got sidetracked because of the current situation. I think there is more to this, another narrative trick. There's been many occasions where something that seemed insignificant is pushed aside only to come back later.

Could it be that he actually figured out or got a hint what the method would do, and is trying to stop kse from attempting it? There is a weird thing with him and K Lee that’s still ambiguous too. We also don’t know what happened to him during the 293 days. Did he discover something?

Even in this chapter kse himself is bewildered why Choi didnt believe him. Like he said, there are all sorts of ghost stories out there. Why is this the one that’s so unbelievable? This is a guy who keeps his options open and tries various things. So his behaviour in the previous chapter is strange.

So him, who has a history of accepting kse as a ‘person’ or a ‘human being’ despite having suspicions that kse may not be human, to not believe kse when he said he is from another world, seems really fishy to me? It might be a reach, but I cant help but think that way.

Plus, wouldn’t so many things click? When kse went missing, both him and rjk tried to find him. Rjk mentioned in his pov that kse’s didnt seem to even exist. Surely they would have searched his background and noticed that there is virtually nothing?

Sure, he might not have trusted what kse said fully, like he ‘just happened to get equipment when he got isekaied’, but Choi didn’t seem like the type of person who is inflexible in his way of thinking. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be a saying of ‘Choi did another Choi’ within the bureau

Even after kse got his body back, he seemed have a lot of thoughts to say, but he didn’t outright reject kse in attempting to do what the note said. Just that to drop it if it seemed dangerous. If anything, the distrust he shows is more to the method written on the note itself.

Even when rjk asked why kse, as 130666, was ‘speaking’ in such a mechanical manner, he reassured both of them that kse is still a person. Even comparing him to Team Leader Hongrim, saying that both her and kse are human because they are capable of communicating

Like, take the glass prison arc. Choi had questions about kse. He pondered if kse is even human, but thought it didn’t matter if he wasn’t because he wanted talk to him properly. He acknowledged that kse is a good ‘person’

Narrative-wise, everything Choi did for kse only to go ‘I don’t trust that he is from another world’ seems a little odd to me? In a world where he rescues citizens from various types of bizarre disasters?

I had to reread the previous chapter several times along with the current one coz Choi’s behavior confused me. And it still does. Kse thinks Choi didn’t believe him at all but I think theres more to it?

Adding to this now that I think about it a little. If he doesnt remember the conversation, did he sacrifice his memory in the ritual to save kse

OR

Did he, at some point, get attacked by the nameless cult and dont rememeber? They steal narratives/memories dont they?

So I wonder if something does go wrong in concluding the disaster, which seems likely, kse has a backup plan to counter these things considering he got several clues about her nature now.

Anyway, diverting to Director Cheong a bit. Does that mean there ARE limits to what she can do? Is the company itself the thing holding her existence together? Like how Hoyuwon was desperately holding onto the memory that he is a counselor?

Either way, I don’t think he doesn’t believe that kse is from another world. The main factor he strongly doesn’t believe in this chapter is the note. He doesn’t believe in the credibility of it and doesn’t trust that kse will not end up in a bad state like 130666 again, supposedly

Before this, after kse regained his body, choi didn’t reject kse from attempting to continue with that method. He just told him to drop it if kse senses it would cause him harm. So at the very least, he didn’t fully reject kse’s wish. So him going ‘you cant go home’ this time is very strange.

Btw, I am a little confused why choi was saying that he cant go back to the past because I thought kse told him he is from another world? Maybe he thought it was a cognitively erased city like the special city? Or was the thing he sacrificed to save kse the memory of being told where he is from?

Its all very twisted, but very human of both of them. Neither of them is wrong, but they are not right either. Also, if Choi didn’t put two and two together now that kse is from a world without ghost stories, I’d genuinely be surprised. All the hints and clues are right there for him to pick up on.

These two care for each other, but can't trust the other's method will have no adverse effects. Not having bronze there as the voice of reason, the team falls apart. Though I dont know if Bronze would have believed kse either, but at least he is objective and, recently, gives benefit of the doubt.

Both of them have good reasons to crash out. Its kinda funny though how this end up with kse adamant in trying an uncertain method that choi is wary of because he doesn’t want kse to be hurt. On the other, kse doesn’t want choi to use his method because he knows choi will end up worse than death

Don’t have much to say this time.Was pleasantly surprised that the fallout/confrontation happened earlier than the climactic point though. Honestly, like kse, said, its better that it happened now rather than at that pivotal moment

I wonder if the scales the blue dragon mascot gave kse will play a role at the end. It seems to be a buildup. Maybe it will suppress whatever traps Cheong might have laid out that they might have missed?

I am not sure the plan will succeed, not as smoothly at least. Very anxious how it will go.
