an 80x120 pixel interpretation of the cover of ‘Cat’ by B Kliban. published in a short, wide, landscape format i had to reconfigure the cover image to fit this common, portrait, 3x4 shape. hand drawn in black ink, a tiny human sits on a large chair in the corner of an empty room. two black striped tabby cats sit to listen to the human. above is a word balloon with the word ‘cat’ in red, the only color on the image. following the red ‘cat’ is a meticulously drawn approximation of the dictionary entry for the word cat, font and all, trailing off an ellipsis at the end.
