People who have come to the United Kingdom legally, played by the rules and made it their home do not need to “go home”. This is their home.

I've written to Kemi Badenoch to give her the chance to reject these divisive calls from her frontbencher Katie Lam.

Exclusive: Labour Anger Erupts Over Party's Response To Katie Lam Immigration Row "What’s the point of us saying we’re anti-racist when we fail to call out racism," said one MP.

Senior Labour figures have expressed dismay at the Party's "cowardly" and "incompetent" response to Tory shadow minister Katie Lam calling for legal migrants to "go home".

"What’s the point of us saying we’re anti-racist when we fail to call out racism," said one MP.

I don't think a doctor or nurse coming here to work in the NHS (for example) needs to be able to discuss the theme of futility in Heart of Darkness. Which was my A-level English question.

Patients deserve safe & quick access to their GP

Any economics student will explain if you need quick + safe, it won’t be cheap

But GP costs under £140 per pt per year - less than your pet insurance

Less than the cost of 🍎 a day!

& we know continuity of care saves lives

We lack the resources, capacity and capabilities to meet the needs of our patients if we can’t switch off online requests when we are full

Not to mention mandating we MUST contact the patient THAT SAME DAY no matter how many patients contact us 🤯

Not safe

On average 88.9 submissions per 1,000 patients in August 2025

The range = 0 to 884.8 online consults, per day, per practice

Why do @NHSEngland @DHSCgovuk insist on treating all practices the same?

Why can’t we temporarily pause online when we are full?

This is not safe

According to this data

💥5,967 (over 96%) of practices in England have at least one online consultation system

💥5.1 million patient online submissions occurred in August

💥3.5 million clinical, the rest admin

(For context every A&E nationwide offers 67,000/day)

And guess what? @NHSEngland own data from August:

I’ve just found the following dataset:

digital.nhs.uk/data-and-infor…

“Submissions via Online Consultation Systems in General Practice, August 2025”

Well well well… 🕵️‍♀️

What would it have cost to say, "Free speech is our right in the UK, but I cannot support any march led by a man whose bigotry is a matter of clear public record, and this country is for everyone."

Every piece I read about a spouse losing their partner to ICE but remaining MAGA, I remember that Trump’s trick was making Scientology affordable.

Something to believe in, something to hate, no barrier to entry.

This is absolutely key to what's happening. The soft left fought hard to keep its house in order and to defend its values in the Corbyn era. But the soft right has basically completely collapsed, organisationally and ideologically.

Ironically this isn't even the first time this has happened *with Personal Independence Payment*.

George Osborne insisted that PIP should replace DLA with the goal of saving 20% of DLA costs (in fact costs went up).
