The Oregon 250 Commission is working hard to make sure Oregon’s celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary next year
tells a complete story. Our mission is clear: inspire civic engagement, strengthen history education, and celebrate the remarkable landscapes and cultures that define Oregon.

We can often see when a person struggling
with mental illness is about to take a fall.
The job of practitioners is to do
what we can to catch people before they fall, rather than waiting. The legislature
passed HB 2005 during the legislative session,
making better care possible and saving lives.

Every child deserves access to quality books and shared reading experiences. It was wonderful to join the Wilsonville community celebrating Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. This program shows how we can work together to ensure every Oregon child has the foundation they need to succeed.

As the Chair of the Behavioral Workforce Talent Council, I am excited to be on the ground listening and learning. I visited with behavioral health providers in Southern Oregon to ensure their voices and experiences as rural providers inform the work of the Behavioral Health Talent Council.

I was thrilled to participate in a special event at Jackson County Public Library in Medford and support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which is making such a meaningful difference for Oregon's children and families. When we invest in early literacy, we're investing in our state's future.
