Yes to all of this
I was literally about to post this, cause I just saw it.
multiple groups, as it helps bring groups together, and builds bridges. The United States is not a democracy at this point. We have seen the executive branch operate without the legislative branch; we have seen them defy court orders. We are underreacting.

Say it once, and we’ll say it again. Get involved in your local chapters. If a local chapter does not exist, start one. Get involved in local mutual aid. Get involved in multiple groups. We hear at General Strike support it when people are in 👇
Oh, we definitely don’t think it’s un-winnable either. But it is uphill, and it all starts on the local level.
Definitely agree with that. We are not organized enough, which is why push for people to be involved in their local chapters. Including union members, which we do have unions members in our ranks. We are decentralized though, so I can’t say to what amount.
Be a huge growing support from the people for a strike. That might coax them out. B) encourage unions members to speak to leadership. The members themselves will have to put pressure on leadership C) unionize your workplace
We have spoken to many unions and they are not down to strike - at least union leadership isn’t. Unions are legally not allowed to go on strike for political reasons, and they can face some pretty harsh ramifications. So, it’s been our opinions that to get unions on board a) there needs to 👇
We posted this a while ago, but it’s a breakdown of how general strike works, and hopefully will answer people’s questions.
It can get more concise than this. You have the information. The rest is up to you.

There. Are. A. Million. And. One. Reasons. To. Strike.
This is one of them. We were never fans of Trump, but he did say “no new wars” (we didn’t believe him, but obviously someone did) and clearly, it’s always been about war, power & dominance.
Congress is silent, so it has to be on us.
I am so sorry to hear that. The level of cruelty in the system is blood boiling
True story: Multiple people run this account, but the person typing this out, my moms insurance company denied her blood pressure meds, so her doctor has to go to the insurance company to argue why it’s necessary.
The healthcare system in the U.S. is killing us slow. Striking saves lives.
Hey all! Our chapter is having its second in person meeting. We plan on making these monthly.
This a great opportunity to meet like minded people, and ask your questions 👍
Let us know if you have any questions about the event, and we will see you there

And on top of this, our literally tax dollars are funding these people; whether directly or indirectly
Think of the government subsidies many of these people’s companies have received?
through most of that fear
Have and I think it’s important to say, “yes, this is risky BUT here is how we can organize to mitigate risk” Or “the government is engaging in illegal activity, so why should you care?” We get this type of push back all the time, but we have also noticed that in person outreach is able to cut👇👇👇👇
Correct, most aren’t in unions, but people point to unions needing to lead the charge because they are organized. And agreed that with every civil disobedience action, there is risk. I think I brought up the legality of it because when you do offline outreach, these are the fears people 👇👇👇👇
Respectfully, you should look a little more into us. We have a bunch of literature on our Linktree, which I understand, can be cumbersome, so this thread should briefly answer your questions: bsky.app/profile/gene...

All good! It’s a long thread so there are a lot of break placements 👍

Respectfully, you should you read the entire thread as each section is connected. The entire sentence is “For many, mutual aid is a new concept.”
Let’s build off of these one days actions, by preparing our communities for a long term sustained strike. To learn more & get a brief overview, check out this post: bsky.app/profile/gene...
Yes! We agree! That’s what we are working towards, though we know 1 day actions are building blocks. To get a brief overview of what we are about, check out this post: bsky.app/profile/gene...
Yes! We must have more general strikes. Hopefully, these 1 day actions can build to a long term sustained strike, which will require people to dig deep in their communities. To get a brief overview, read this post: bsky.app/profile/gene...
We love seeing more unions showing up. We have spoken to some union leadership, & they have no desire to strike. To get unions to strike, it will have to be bottom up. Our goal is to eventually have a long term sustained strike. To get a brief overview, read this post: bsky.app/profile/gene...
Yes!! Let’s keep the general strike going around the country. Let these one day actions grow into a long term sustained strike, which is our ultimate goal. Learn more by reading this: bsky.app/profile/gene...
Yes!! We love to see this. Everyone around the country should build off of this momentum, which is what we are working towards. This post goes into detail: bsky.app/profile/gene...
