As I once again prepare to board a flight to Atlanta, I ask God only for the strength to get through Hartsfield Jackson without needing to call an exfiltration team. And lemon pepper wings

Americans can all rest easy knowing that while this fresh Mideast war may lead to asymmetrical terror attacks throughout the world and on U.S. soil, and household budgets will be strained to a breaking point by doubling the cost of filling a gas tank, the suits at Exxon and Texaco will be just fine.

Maaybe... I know Anthropic is talking about how it has ethics and cares about human rights, but, bottom line, these people took $200 BILLION in contracts with Trump's government and specifically the War Crimes department... and that is just not something *ethical* people would do.

Anthropic’s Lawsuit Should Absolutely Destroy the Pentagon in Court But make no mistake: The company is not one of the good guys.

I don't think enough people are paying attention to Anthropic's lawsuit against the DoD. Hegseth wants Terminators, while Anthropic just doesn't want Claude to pull the trigger (probably for liability reasons). Dystopia is already here.

Excellent conversation between @matthew.flux.community and @elienyc.bsky.social on the lies we tell ourselves as lawyers

I’m not opposed to unelected judges making political decisions per se. I just think they should be limited in scope and easily overruled by the elected branches

Did a White Anchor Deserve to Be Fired for Quoting Snoop Dogg? Fo’ Shizzle Mississippi anchor Barbie Bassett lost her discrimination appeal after claiming a Black journalist wouldn't have been fired for saying "fo' shizzle, my nizzle" on air.

A white anchor got fired for quoting Snoop Dogg lyrics on air. She claimed reverse discrimination, alleging that a Black reporter could get away with it, while a white one can't.
Evidently, she is unfamilar with the stylings of Ari Melber.

I think I’d go the entire weekend without seeing my 13yo if I wasn’t his only source for chicken nuggets.
And he reacts like a fucking VAMPIRE when I open his curtains.

Look man, I hope Talarico can do all he says he can do. I just don't see any evidence that White MAGA Trump voters are *gettable.* So unless Latinos are gonna start voting like Black people, you're still gonna need Black people to win.

I mean, the guy *campaigned* on "electability" to the point that he had to explain that he wasn't trying to use a dog whistle. So... I think it was relevant. :)

An Argument Against Voting for the “Electable” Guy In this week’s Elie v. US, The Nation’s justice correspondent shares his thoughts on the Texas primaries. Plus, a terrible Supreme Court decision and a bad play by Major League Baseball.

In this week’s newsletter, I look forward to “Beto O’Rourke 2” while also explaining why SCOTUS ruled 9-0 to send an immigrant back to a hitman.
I also complain about the modernization of baseball because I’m old.

OMG, I really need this workday to end so I can go onto Marathon and get kiled 15 times in half an hour so I can say "I tried it" and then uninstall it and go play Stardew Valley until my blood pressure goes back down.
