It was really great to host Hussam Al Daas from STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory for our first seminar of the academic year @durham-comp-sci.bsky.social . Interesting insights re multigrid for very anisotropic problems. Next time, we however need more time for a follow-up conversation!

The realisation of DG's volumetric kernels has got its fair attention. We focus on techniques to reduce the coupling between cells and increase the cell level parallelism.

All the implementations were championed through an RSR at Durham's ARC and the project kicked off as part of an #ExCALIBUR project.
