Oh, another fun thing that was in EA was that originally, the pact of punishment was in Zagreus' room. When they moved it to next to the exit door, they gave him a line saying "Hey, where's the pact of punishment?" when you go into his room for the first time that update.

Alas I never got any of the endings or true ending stuff for Hades 1, cuz I beat it enough times before it left EA that I just never went back and played it on Steam lol.

But it makes sense, SGG's big thing is tying gameplay and story, and contextualizing EA development is a nice touch.

My favorite was beating the bone hydra in the first EA release, then the narrator says that there's nothing past Asphodel and kills Zagreus. He gets back to the house of Hades and starts bitching his dad out over there not being any more stuff past Asphodel, to which Hades replies-

It doesn't break the fourth wall, but one of his lines is that he wasn't last to give Zagreus aid because he was late, but because he was busy elsewhere iirc.

There was a LOT of early access-related dialogue that's probably not in the game anymore, it made playing in EA pretty fun.

#1 thing to keep in mind that it is NOT a hero shooter and barely even plays like a third person shooter. It's fully a MOBA, and much closer to Dota 2 than something like League (which makes sense considering Icefrog directs both).
The learning curve can be pretty steep but there's a lot of freedom.

My point was that a lot of the other shows were built specifically to sell one toy line. Adventure was the vpet. Tamers was the card game. Xros wars the toys, Ghost Game the fitbit. Beatbreak doesn't have one.
