Well in the documentaries I have watched, the were using electric trucks for short routes like factory - warehouse not east of a country to west of the country. Those were mostly still in testing stage last I checked.

True. Short-range the prices are already very good.

PS: For small vehicles, I think hydrogen has already lost the race, except for maybe some extremely unique use-cases.

2/2 Depending on each vehicle and it's purpose, hydrogen might be the better choice in some use cases e.g. very heavy freight, remote places, express delivery... For airplanes the math seems to be against battery technology from what I saw. Maybe good for inner city quadcopter flights.

Well it does matter a lot for buses and trucks as well, the issue is that adding more batteries at some point does not equally increase range anymore. Like there is a sweet spot for each vehicle in batteries / weight / range. Solid state batteries might improve this issue. 1/2
