The funny thing about the Giants is Buster Posey as PBO with Farhan Zaidi as GM would be an exceptional front office, and Bob Melvin as manager with Gabe Kapler's coaches would be an incredible staff.

You can understand why they fired Bob Melvin, but the Giants need to take a hard look in the mirror. Yes, the season was disappointing, but don't forget they ranked 22nd in ESPN's preseason power rankings. Fangraphs projected them to finish under .500. Outside of SF, they didn't really disappoint.

Giants certainly need to shake up not just the roster but the staff. Personally, I think Melvin should stay and some of the coaches should go. But I have no idea what they'll actually do.

I wouldn't say it was a fun season, but it was A Season, to be sure. And it ended on a high note: a 4-0 win, a series sweep, Webb getting the innings and strikeout crowns, and Adames breaking the 30-homer drought.
