an experimental 4-page comic from 2020 about asteroid dwellers becoming prey for a mining machine and its onboard AI
eventually the designs evolved into these bubble suits, which i think go a long way in evoking a feeling of alien-ness
the general idea was that these two would investigate a megastructure that had consumed the earth and inner planets. i did a lot of style exploration but the story didn't really go anywhere
light passing overhead. in 2020 i was developing far-future (post-) cyberpunk characters and story
i'm not much of a physics guy but i've read a lot of that stuff and i always feel like the scenarios are very platonic. no junk info, no having to discriminate between individual pixels, cameras always facing the right way, etc

In 2019-2020 I published Iron Blue, a couple of atmospheric mech comics. They're a little rough around the edges but put forth themes I'd continue coming back to. Mechs in industrial society, loneliness, capitalism
