The Fox in the Kingdom of Flowers. It was about anthropomorphic animals and the main character was a fox knight.
Jardine's surname, Renarde means fox, and her mom suggested Fleurine as a name but she didn't like it that much, so she went with Jardine which means garden ^^

Not at all, Jardine is highly sympathetic toward ghosts, and tries her best to help them move on rather than treating them as monsters to be exorcised.
Even though some of them can be hostile, she's found that patience and caution can go a long way to helping them

Her vendetta ran into many dead ends over the years, and it's only during Endwalker that she finally found her parents, though at this point they had long since "reformed" and been reduced to what Tam considered "too pathetic to kill" which made the deed feel unsatisfying and hollow

Over the next years, Tam began studying whatever material she could find on voidsent to look for a way to break her bonds, often brutally interrogating and killing any cultists she came across in the process.

A friend of a friend had a similar name, and while looking up names within that range, I found Jardine and just thought it sounded nice :3
I usually let an OC's name simmer for a while to make sure it sticks.
Lore-wise, a character from a children's book inspired her to pick the name

Never liked FF14's Ifrit bc of how different he looks to other FF's lion-ish versions, but it only now occurs to me the reason he looks more lizardy in 14 is because the ones who summoned him are lizard people, so it makes total sense their vision of him would look like them. How slow I am 🫠

At least Jardine did kind of serve as a slow progress therapist to Tam over a period of several years, so potentially Tam would just need an extremely patient therapist. All-in-all, things worked out 😌

Likely, yes. Jars has no problem opening up about personal stuff if she's comfortable with someone. Though she probably wouldn't need it since she's already faced her demons on her own ✊️
