βοΈ If you disagree with a decision made by the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency - GVRA, you have specific rights & steps you can take:
1οΈβ£ Written Notice -- GVRA must provide written notice of certain decisions and your due process rights, including your right to mediation, a formal review, a fair hearing, and information about the Client Assistance Program (CAP).
2οΈβ£ Informal Resolution -- Start by talking with your VR counselor to try to resolve the issue. You may also speak with a supervisor if needed.
3οΈβ£ Formal Review -- If the issue isnβt resolved, you may file a written appeal or complete a Request for Review of GVRA Determination form. Must be submitted within 15 business days of receiving your notice.
4οΈβ£ Mediation -- You and GVRA can agree to work with a neutral mediator at any time between the formal review and a fair hearing.
5οΈβ£ Fair Hearing -- If the issue is still not resolved after an administrative review, you may request a fair hearing with an Administrative Law Judge. Must be requested within 10 days of receiving the administrative review decision.
