Since it seems bsky users like sunsets, here's another one while enroute to DCA this evening on an E175. #avgeek #sunset
#OnThisDay 174 years ago the West Cornwall Railway opened from Penzance to Redruth, partly over the mainly mineral 1837 Hayle Railway. Extending to Truro that August, it was isolated until connecting to the Cornwall Railway at Truro in 1860. A busy Penzance in July 1982: Clive Smith buff.ly/FKSeozp

Day 3/4 and it’s a safety brief day in Stratford. 10 o’clock start so I’ve had a bit of a lie in.
Good morning you lovely lot. Hope you are feeling good today and have a great Wednesday 😊
George is sort of on Sara’s lap this evening #catsofbluesky
Hello? Is that the British Transport Police? I wish to report something that doesn't look right - hell, as a Brit, it's pretty much a hate crime. 🤢😩 #SeeItSayItSorted
🐧 🏴 Penguins pick out pebbles painted by children in hospital
Gentoo penguins at Edinburgh Zoo have been picking out pebbles hand-painted by children at a nearby hospital to present as a gift to a mate. The species is known to gather stones during breeding season to build nests
Goddamn micromanagers!

Today's #BRNostalgia remembers #Euston as it was in loco-hauled days back in 1990 when engines were regularly stabled inside the station between duties. paulbigland.zenfolio.com/p651486993/e... #railways #photography #nostalgia

50020 ‘Revenge’ stands forlorn in the scrapyard at Booth’s in Rotherham. With many miles under its belt, a no doubt a flashover or two, its time was almost up. A sad goodbye to what was one of my personal favourites.

It’s turning into a lovely morning as 720515 sits at Harwich Town ready to work 1A19 to London
Railways are so beautiful... 🥰
It’s not quite so grey and misty this morning in Harwich. 720515 is my unit this morning and it’s the middle one of these 3

You'd been to the station to meet every train
You came home without Lili Marlene'

Today’s historic pic: Exactly 40 years ago today, double-ended streamliner B74 in VicRail tangerine and silver ‘Teacup’ livery hauls a VLine train away from Spencer Street station, Melbourne, March 10 1986. Six-month-old N451 and one of her early N class sisters (N452-N457) are visible at right.
Still quite sore today so will be resting after work. Very frustrating but a couple of days off shouldn’t hurt.
Day 2/4 at work, 05:23 to 13:43. Pass to Harwich, get one out of the yard and take it to Harwich Town before working it to London and back to Clacton. I then have a break and either bring back another empty train or pass home 👍
