We keep finding out more and more about Carol and why she is this way - she’s very stubborn and adverse to change for good reasons. She is a very tragic character. When I said “what humanity needs fixed” I didn’t mean to hurt her. Quite the opposite. I don’t want her to be so hurt. 🥲

I also watched Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein today but have less to say about it that the literal title doesn’t say. You know it will be amazing just knowing it’s Frankenstein by Del Toro. 🥹 Please watch it if you like any movies that exist.

Also really cool shots from inside moving vehicles. That’s not thematic I just thought they were great shots. I haven’t seen Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul so I don’t know if the creator is known for that. I do know he’s known for character stuff and that really shows though!!

It also has very, very strong thematic similarities to Black Mirror’s ‘Plaything’, which focused on engineering such a (possibly? Or at least something close?) world then very notably stopped before we *could* see what it was like.

I absolutely love it so far, but here comes PLUR1BUS with “the protagonist is literally the most wrong person who ever wronged and is genuinely a picture of what humanity NEEDS FIXED” and am genuinely terrified to look up if we’re intended to agree with her because it would make me very sad if so 🥲
