Chicago History Museum employees are making history of their own: They’re forming a union with AFSCME Council 31 @afscme31.bsky.social.
Together in their union, employees will seek better communication with management, improved job security, livable wages, a voice on the job and other priorities.

At lunch today, workers rallied outside, urging mgmt to (1) reinstate 2 union activists who recently lost jobs due to illegal retaliation, and (2) finally settle a fair contract with decent pay.
Then workers were locked out and police called?!
Absurd.
