Are we having popcorn yet?
Are you going to finish that?
When you’re sulking because no more snacks are forthcoming…
Numerous media outlets are predicting a landslide victory for Mark Carney, which is excellent news. I fear Canadians will become complacent. Please don’t let that happen! Remember Kamala - stay focused and keep all eyes on the prize, and when the time comes, VOTE!!
Carry on Carney! 🇨🇦
Avocado 🥑 They do that to me too, and sometimes steal avocado plants I’m growing…🤯
I wonder if we could live without armies. Costa Rica has no army anymore, putting the former military budget toward education, and Panama is getting rid of theirs. Think of what we could do for the environment, education, and healthcare with the money.
I was just wondering, when all the dust has finally settled, will it be difficult to get the people of the Province of America to accept free healthcare?
I’m sorry, but I believe that should be “neighbour.” 🇨🇦
This is what we’ve been doing in Canada. Boycott it all.
Calling stores, corporate offices & asking why they aren’t doing anything, telling them why we won’t buy their products.
If a business is making zero effort in the buy Canadian movement/elusive/lying about product origin…we shop elsewhere.
Anyone know of any online Canadian owned used books stores?

Nap you must not; eat dinner I must.
And I have this affectionate little troublemaker.
Don’t be so hard on pigs. They are clean, intelligent, and sensitive creatures who deserve better PR, unlike some humans I can think of…
Beautifully done.
I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library
This is VERY good news. Love bookshop.org and all the stuff they do!

Our dishwasher beeps nine times to let us know that it’s done, which is about eight more times than I need in order to know that the dishwasher is done.

Winter is such a great time of year to read a book. Maybe something like a history of the Second World War.
Anyone familiar with Aesop’s story of the farmer and the snake? Seems pretty apropos these days…
When a dog and a pile of laundry fresh out of the dryer collide…
It’s -20c outside where I am, so I guess Hell has actually frozen over, which would explain a lot.
That is all.
