Gonna call it that now. Oooob.
Nothing like thinking you’ve arrived!
It’s a purple kind of day here. Sketching for #the100DayProject.
It’s all too much. Please have a tree peony.

Here’s my most recent fancy special occasion lace for #ShowMeYourKnits - Don’t Panic by Nim Teasdale. 🧶
Love making these, even if they rarely get used!
The apricots and peaches and plums are blooming, and thank goodness for that.

We danced today! I did not wear a fancy outfit, though.

They are everywhere here, and it’s unnerving to see a car driving around with nobody in it.
Do you have too many bees inside sometimes? Have to remind them it’s going to be okay. #the100DayProject colored pencil #sketchbook
So cute! Black-cheeked lovebirds for #birdwhisperer today in #watercolor.

Trying #the100DayProject again this year. I don’t know what my theme is yet. I’m just planning to sit down with this little notebook every day.

Absolutely. And normally I would have, but this was a very familiar yarn, and I felt confident about the potential size range/ease.
Had I dream I was gardening and planting seeds, and they were sprouting up just as soon as they were under the soil.
Guess it’s time to get my peas planted. Or start a new endeavor.
I think the truly critical thing I did for fit on this garment was changing the neckline - casting on fewer stitches (98? 96?), knitting real ribbing, increasing again, adding more short rows. Yes it changes the style but I feel like it forces the sweater to sit properly.
When wet it was far too big and then I let it dry on the heated towel rail until it was small enough. I know, that’s not very helpful. I don’t have the sweater to hand as it is being used as a shop sample right now.
You’re so kind! Here is where I admit I did not swatch (!) because: either gauge of the “size 2” would have fit mostly ok, but primarily because the yarn is superwash and I could make it any size during blocking. I liked the fabric I got on a 3.5mm needle.
I was NOT prepared for this sound! Had the windows open to air the house after dinner and suddenly there were raspy little screams. 🦉 pretty sure I have never heard a barn owl before. 🪶
Oh my goodness little snek friend in a tube! I love them!
That’s what it was! Yes!
Sweet! 🐑

We’re horseposting post your horses
Daily walks in the neighborhood (dogs! Flowers! Birds!); crochet, snuggles, cozy games, painting, and picking up real books and trying to put the phone down. Giving where I can. Sometimes it’s enough.
Happy lunar new year! 🧧 a little fire horse for you.

In case you didn’t get one, here’s a little valentine for you. 🩷
