Dear Families,

Just to remind you, our school closes for the Summer Break on Wednesday 23 July at midday.

We re-open to students on Tuesday 2 September 2025.

At @sheffieldhallamuni.bsky.social our Y10 Food & Nutrition students were taught about sugar and a range of different alternatives and we conducted an experiment with cake!

We also had a tour of the facilities including the kitchens, sensory booths, and the microbiology & physiology labs.

Sports Day Tuesday 15th July at English Institute of Sport (EIS) - If you are booked on the coach, please be at school for 7:45am; don't be late! - When you arrive at the EIS, please head upstairs to the Athletics arena and along to your House registration desk. - Please wear trainers, appropriate PE kit and your House colour t-shirt. - Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and plenty of water. - You must wear your stickered number for each event.

Tomorrow is the big day! Our Sports Day will be held on Tuesday 15th July at the English Institute of Sport (EIS). The event will take place from 8:30am - 2pm.

Please ensure your child is clear about their arrangements to and from the venue.

This INSET day falls during Y10 Work Experience week. May we please remind Y10 families and students that the INSET day does not affect Y10 work experience.

We look forward to welcoming the Y6s in school on Wed 25th June for our Y6 Transition Day! The day will start at 8:30am. We can't wait to meet you!

The Y6 Parents' Evening is on the same day at 5pm.

Remember to keep cool in hot weather

We are aware of the Yellow weather warning for very warm weather. The Y7 trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park will go ahead as planned on Thursday 19th June.

We encourage students to:
- Wear loose clothing
- Take breaks in the shade
- Bring a hat
- Bring a water bottle
- Apply sun cream
