UK politics are driven by knee-jerk authoritarianism. Take the call to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist group. When they have injured no one but embarrassed the UK state - which is their real crime.
Their actions are not "terrorist" and this is an Orwellian debasement of language.
I am really, really worried by how reactionary the UK government has become (in reflection of the UK population). Proscribing the Palestine Action Group sets a dangerous, dangerous precedent in criminalising dissent.
Proscribing Palestine Action will move a group that uses criminal damage to reject violence - the violence of states like Britain and Israel - outside the rule of law, into the opaque unaccountable world of "counter-terrorism".
Everyone must mobilise to prevent this.
