I’d like to recommend another read in the current issue of Asimov’s. The first story, “The Greenway”—the cover story—is an excellent example of post-singularity SF and “eco-weird.”

The planet is overheating. Why is the news looking away? Since 2021, global media coverage of climate change has dropped 38 percent. Blame wars, political chaos, and Jeffrey Epstein.

This is what should be at the top of our minds—not whatever Taylor Swift is wearing this week. We stand a very good chance of turning our planet into Venus.

I live in the greater Philly area and formerly voted for Fetterman when he was a true progressive. He has become a conservative. Like Van Drew, he might as will be honest about it and flip his party affiliation

There is a worthwhile essay in the current issue of Asimov’s by Kelly Lagor entitled “”Bradbury and Truffaut’s Empathy in Fahrenheit 451” on the relationship between reading and the development of empathy. This is something we need much more of in American society today.

It is interesting how the imaginary god of people like Hegseth, Tump and Miller just happens to be as big of an asshole as they all are.

There are two weeks until my election, and AIPAC has spent $150,000 to create the worst attack out against me I have ever seen.

Let’s watch it:

The surprising thing is that he even knows who Winston Churchill was. Maybe someone handed it to him on a note card.

We had @nidaallam.bsky.social on our stream and heard her vision. If you’re in NC-04, make your plan to vote. Polls are open until 7:30PM ET.

Can’t wait to see Nida in Congress 🧡

This is all about the old goat’s fantasy to build an Israeli riviera. That’s all it is. He will kill and displace people by the thousands to have a string of casinos.

Are ‘Climate Hushers’ Lurking in the Democratic Party? - Inside Climate News A push to emphasize affordability isn’t climate hushing, its advocates say. But a Democratic think tank has suggested this recalibration is in order—and some in the party are tweaking their messaging.

We don’t need “climate hushers.” We need “climate screamers.”
