Yesterday, I was near ecstatic to be told it was Punctuation Day. (Seemingly, a US special day, rather than a UK one. Never mind, I can overlook that detail.) As an editor, punctuation is a real source of excitement to me.
And why have I not noticed this book before? It had me in fits of laughter.

Visiting in Eastbourne, I took the opportunity of finding Camilla's Bookshop in Grove Road. (A fellow browser of books in Tunbridge Wells had recommended it.) What an amazing shop! Piles of antiquarian and secondhand books from the floor to the ceiling. And I came away with a fascinating volume.

Thank you TN1 for the great welcome as ever, and for the amazing Turkish meze. How could I have missed on the menu in the past?!

What a kind and warm welcome at one of my favourite haunts this morning: the coffee shop (and secondhand book store) at Sissinghurst Castle (National Trust).
