Former All-American Girls Professional Baseball League player Dottie (Ferguson) Key was born in Winnipeg, Man., on this date in 1923.
She stole more than 70 bases in a season three times during her AAGPBL career, including a career-high 91 for the Rockford Peaches in 1951.
She passed away in 2003.
