Whoa, the projection window feature is amazing. I've seen people use projectors for cutting out patterns but ive seen it requires to set up the projector so it points straight down so things project correctly from a flat pattern image.

(2/3) So pandafold is my response, it's my fourth attempt at solving this problem. I wanted a tool that accelerated my suit making workflow and I really feel like I'm nearly there. Sure it isn't remotely as powerful as CLO, but I'm just one person working on this, and not huge company.

(1/3) Few pieces of software give me anxiety attacks just thinking about using them, and that is one. I spent way too much time trying to get it to work for me, and it was one of my reasons for writing software to solve this problem.

We've been working really on our patterning software! Here is a video for our 0.6.1 release for our alpha users, walking through our new features, and changes. The software is still in pre-release, ping us if you're interested in joining the alpha program. youtu.be/pyi_b53lte0

To get this working involved writing a text layout engine, which was a fun adventure, but I wanted it to save as much time as possible when it comes to cutting patterns. I don't want to have users spend time moving text around, I just want to them to quickly pattern and start sewing.

Initial work on pattern layout, this text is all laid out automatically, it includes pattern id, grain direction, material name (fur name), pattern description, and the seams (SEAM_ID:PATTERN_ID) #fursuitmaker #fursuitwip #patterning_software #sewing

If you want to help us test the software by providing any models you want us to test with please send me a DM. We won't use the meshes for anything but testing the software.

It should work well for that! I'd eventually like to get to the point where it can account for the stretch in mochi fabrics, but that is a post V1 thing.
