The fact I can still remove my supports easily from what is the most insane not-smooth surface in the world still blows my mind, printers have come so far

It’s tricky as it’s a new material on the costume scene, and I feel we’ve got a tonne of like misinformation flying around as well as folks just not knowing the time it takes and how awfully tricky settings can be, and the toll it takes on machinery!

It took me months just to get the supports and settings right for the filament, people are very disconnected it’s quite sad

I love sculpting bases, this one’s a work in progress for TPU! You may recognise @mooz.bsky.social ✨

Two fursuit heads sit on a table. One is a red panda in tones of orange and brown, with pink eyes and nose. One eye has a sparkly black eyelid in progress. The fur is only pinned on so the lower jaw is loose! The other is a dog with a brown nose and blue eyes, taped up and ready for the furring stage.

This weekend's work!

Got all of the red panda's freckles sewn, so now they're ready for gluing & got the dog's eyes done & installed, finishing up their tape pattern.

The dog is a @farukucostumes.bsky.social's base, including the ears & eye blanks.
