I just got a shipping notice. This must be what's coming. Lovely.

The Replacements are 1000% cooler and better than Mr. "Turn Me Loose". Before we hit you with Nickleback, we hit you with Loverboy.
A friend’s sister is named Dorcas. She doesn’t sound happy. You made a brighter choice. Plus you get your teenage dream-name as a nickname. Double win.
I know! So cool. And so English, the business of putting it in a footnote rather than in the main body of what he was writing, or more aptly, publishing it on its own!
@amabel.bsky.social I thought of you immediately as I read this thread.
A perfect example of what MAGATs mean by "fake news". Not news that is factually wrong, but news presented in a way they don't like. Of course, more shocking is his public announcement that when Ellison buys CNN, it will be Foxified.

Battle Commander Unboxing
Check out Carl Paradis' new game from Sound of Drums. A huge box filled with blocks of various shapes, cards, and 3 double-sided maps. It's a beauty.

I've seen Los Lobos a couple times, but the best was in a space not much bigger than a community center. Fantastic.
I saw the Pretenders headlining their own tour. 88? 89? The Get Close album. I've had a terrible crush on Chrissie Hynde my whole life. Her autobiography, Reckless, is pretty good.
I saw that tour in Vancouver. Opening was The BoDeans and Los Lobos, I think.

Ace of Aces Powerhouse 2026 unboxing
44 years after it's initial release (and 46 years after the initial Handy Rotary volume), Ace of Aces is back. Larger page sizes and in colour this time.
