We could use your prayers. So many in Altadena/Pasadena have lost everything in the Eaton Fire. I am ok for now. Just outside of the evac zone. Got a go bag with me. Please list shelters and other resources. I know First Baptist and All Saints in Pasadena are shelters. Stay Safe!

I’d like to thank my mom for giving me books and leaving me be as a kid. The way I enjoy my own company now is dangerous and needs to be studied. #introvert #alonetime #IAmTheVibe

Big agenda for today:
Turn on Christmas music
Make another gingerbread Café au lait
Color in my color by number Christmas book
Watch the next movie in my annual Harry Potter marathon while eating from my holiday tin of probably stale mix of cheddar caramel & butter popcorn
Drink
Repeat tomorrow

Why were you worried about traveling with a real tree? Because I have one more trip in December and I was curious about that.

Thinking about getting a real Christmas tree this year. Grew up with an artificial tree my entire life and I loved it, but I just don’t have anywhere to store in my apartment when it’s not Christmas time. What say you? Are you #TeamRealTree or #TeamArtificialTree

My introvert weekend is off to a great start. I have seen no one. I have spoken to no one. I listened to Christmas music and cleaned my house. Did a weird dance in my living room. Stared at a wall. Overall good times!
How are you introverting after the holiday?

May your travel be smooth and your pillow at home welcome you with the ease that only a post conference sleep can bring. May your books be discounted and arrive before Christmas!
But most of all, may you remember that a conference, no matter what happens, can never define you.

Friends leaving #AARSBL24
I hope you got the chance to be seen in your work AND in your life. That you got to hug the necks of your beloveds, laugh with them, sit with them in their highs and lows this year.
I hope your favorite scholar knew your name, you had good food, and you got to rest.

Are you contingent faculty? If so, what would you want institutions to know? What advice/encouragement would you have for others?
