Quite excited about the screwed back and metal design on that for max longevity!!

I successfully loaded the app and tested it in the previous Android batch. Everything that's supposed to be working is functioning as expected, and I haven't encountered any bugs. I wasn't sure how to submit feedback directly through the app, so I'm sharing it here instead.

I appreciated getting the vibration first, as by the time I got the watch up, I could see the notification show up. Though, a longer stay window for the notification would work similarly sans catching the animation. 🤔🤔

Pay limitation has a lot to do with licensing restrictions and requirements vs technical capabilities from any NFC device.

Seems to be more sustainable than cloud dependencies.

Logged into tw for just this poll. I almost sent a super long DM on here after seeing so much negative sentiment over just B/W on reddit, discord, and otherwise. Legit don't want Pebble to have a bad time on it's rebirth.

On the Pebble Time Steel rn, the instant recognition of notification source, and the copious amounts of personality from the colour is definitely much more preferable. I did have the OG Pebble, and the Time Steel UX is so much clearer. Not to mention the watchfaces.

I cheerfully make the most of bike lanes, but I’m a fair-weather rider — I cycle to work most days until the snow and salt set in. Yet even in the best of weather, I see bike lanes on University Avenue and Yonge Street relatively little-used while motor vehicles are stalled in traffic; in the worst of winter, it’s typically e-bike delivery workers who own the trails, sailing past the congestion at high speed and high risk because they are so often unlit and unsafe (despite all the earnest rhetoric about how bike lanes put safety first, pedestrians beware).

These days, it’s hard not to notice that the most steadfast, fastest bikers are e-bikers ferrying food for Uber Eats and competing delivery outfits. Commuters and recreational cyclists, not so much — not in the salty, slushy winter chill. How did we come to the point where massive public funds are invested in building and maintaining a network of part-time trails used mostly by part-time gig workers? How do we justify the specialized winter crews that plow and salt these mostly empty bike trails while adjoining sidewalks are icy and slippery, and emergency shelters for the unhoused remain underfunded and overcapacity?

A gross article whose main points are:
- delivery workers don't count as real cyclists
- the bike lanes are empty, anyone can see it (me: SO ARE THE TRAIN TRACKS)
- we're spending too much on the bike lanes for too little benefit (me: bike lane budget is SO tiny)

Don't know about you, but I just heard about recency bias and it's my favorite.
