The attack on Charlie Kirk is disgusting, vile, and reprehensible.

In the United States of America, we must reject political violence in EVERY form.

Political violence is bad. It usually begets more political violence.

Celebrating political violence is bad. It usually encourages more political violence, against various targets.

Campus shootings are bad. They make everyone on campus less safe.

It's bad that what I wrote here is controversial.

Political violence disproportionately hurts people with less power, not people with more power. Political violence will disproportionately hurt people of color and women and LGBTQ people. It’s not fair, but that’s the way it works. Celebrating political violence means at best indifference to that.

I agree with Gabrielle Giffords. Violence like this is never appropriate.

Deleted a post where I speculated about Charlie Kirk's medical condition, but I want to reiterate the message of the post that political violence is never the answer. It only fans the flames of discord and may lead to retaliation. I pray the violence stops here and his shooter is quickly prosecuted.

I genuinly cant understand why someone would celebrate this. This can only lead to more political violence. More shootings. More deaths. Not just right wing Republicans!!! ANYONE!!!

Praying for his family. Hes a horrible person with insane views but I hope he is able to survive. shootings like this have high fatality rates especially becuase his neck was shot. But there is always a chance of survival. +
