Assuming your prices & deals were set at the same time the tariffs came into effect, with the more reasonable expectation that the importer had pre-existing contracts that may play out anytime during those 18 months meaning they would be renegotiated with the 10% dollar drop relevant to new pricing.

So as an importer, in 12 to 18 months, you’re not only paying tariffs, but also buying with a weaker dollar.
