Right now, there are two parties in the US that can win a political office outside of the hyperlocal- the Republicans and the Democrats. The Democrats broadly believe we should continue to be a civil democratic society. The Republicans believe we should feed entire ethnic groups to reptiles.

Your vote is not your money. It is not a consumerist item you reward to the brand that you like or keep in your pocket for a rainy day. It is a sacred trust for the fate of this country and if your attitude is the above that is a trust you resent and spit on.
