Brown and white pitbull with her head across a black white and grey dog. Both snuggled on a single dog bed next to a fireplace.
My dogs are cuter than your dogs. Notice there is another whole dog bed right beside this and they still chose to snuggle.

AI saying $4,219 x 14.5 is $16,878. It’s far more than that.
Fucking LLM can’t even do straight multiplication.

I still love lots of my poor folk food from my childhood. If I don’t have beans, potatoes, and milk in my fridge I get anxious.

JWST ornament on top of woman's face (Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman) with Bluesky logo overlayed on guys back. From famous movie scene where she tells him she's just a girl standing in front of a guy asking him to love her
I'm just a g̶i̶r̶l̶ "Space Artist" standing in front of a "Bluesky" asking them to love my JWST ornament.

I mean I thought hey they did the hard part. That was a week ago. A man just showed up at the door trying to put it together. He looked at everything and said” damn you did a good job”. 2/2

lol. I bought myself a new bike for winter exercise. There was an option for “ professional assembly”. The thought of putting together a 24 speed bike sounded awful so I paid for it. Bike arrived with just the front wheel, handles and foot pedals not attached. I put it together. 1/2

20 GeV halo-like excess of the Galactic diffuse emission and implications for dark matter annihilation
Fifteen years of the Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) data in the halo region of the Milky Way (MW) are analyzed to search for gamma rays from dark matter annihilation. Gamma-ray maps within the regio...
Hmmmmm.....
Dark Matter folks .... thoughts on this?!
The paper says the DM annihilation idea remains 'feasible', but I have also seen quotes in general audience articles saying something like: this signal closely matches the expected DM properties (which seems more firm to me) ....

A Common Gallinule, a weird waterbird. It is small and round, with a dark gray-almost black body with brown on the wings, a hint of white on the sides, and long yellow legs that are hidden in the green duckweed at the edge of the reeds. Its beak is yellow-white, and its face covered by a red face shield.
Same bird; it is now stretching out its neck to twist its head to place it down near the water, so its side-placed eye is facing down and the other is facing up.
Any idea why this Common Gallinule kept putting its head down sideways toward on the duckweed-covered water? I don't know much about their behavior in general-- could it be looking into the water below? It did it multiple times while I watched.

The great Orion nebula through an Astro photography telescope. The image is incomplete as there was not enough time to finish the mosaic.
