At 48 (nearly 49) years old ive found that i far prefer books, games, films with female leads/protagonists. Also this seems to translate to bands. There are so many cool metal/punk/rock bands with women leading the way. This is my international men's day post.

Its only in the last year or so ive found a friend with whom I can be open and honest and speak out loud things that I couldnt admit to anyone, often even myself before. The liberation and freedom that has afforded me has given me so much. Just being able to vent to an understanding friend is bliss

I think its certainly not a faultless era, it surprises me at times how many faults I spot, or missed opportunities, but it never spoils what I do get. Its such a comfort era for us both that we cant help but love it. Haha.
