All movies are drawn before they're made, so all movies are adapted from comics.
Ha! We really are. But in a lovely way. I always love chatting with Rod, because between us, I reckon we cover most of everything! Haha.
A strong day for podcasts, kicking off with this *excellent* start to a S18 commentary series which peaks with a great discussion on Lalla Ward’s quality of being to attract/intimidate/ terrify men. A fantastic listen.
And we are back! First off, the very first Doctor Who story i have coherent memories of (i wasnt even 4 when this aired!)
Join Jim, Rod and myself as we venture to Argolis and indulge in the Leisure Hive!
Just waiting for Nicola to be discharged after her kidney stone removal. She's sore, tired and ready for home. X

Well, @jeffgoddard.bsky.social and I are already four stories into recording the Season 18 commentaries. We’ve got some special guests coming up, and it all kicks off this Saturday...
Thank you very much, Eunice, thanks for reading!
Small Prophets update.
That was stunningly great television. Wholesome, heart warming, heart breaking and utterly engrossing. Just give Mackenzie Crook the world folks, he makes it better. ❤️
Happy Birthday to the man, the Myth, the majestic @frakturedboy.bsky.social
Podder and what's in the boxer, gentleman and scholar, runner and all round top bloke its my honour to call my friend!
Hope you have a great day mate!
I thought it would be. Haha. We will finish it tonight! Haha.
My wife and I started watching Small Prophets last night and I am utterly convinced that Mackenzie Crook may be the greatest thing to happen to British TV in years.
Detectorists? Amazing
Worzel Gummidge? Amazing
Small Prophets? So far, amazing. ❤️
Getting to chat Hartnell Who with Jason is always such a joy. Thank you so much for having me back!
I certainly didn't but thats a really interesting read and a fascinating 'what if?'
🥰
In this final solo episode I'm talking about the David Tennant Children in Need episodes - Born Again (2005), Time Crash (2007) and Destination: Skaro (2023).
Next week season 18 gets underway…

❤️ THANK YOU ❤️
Yesterday, episode 52 of Nostalgia Tours launched. That makes a whole year of weekly podcasts, so I wanted to mark the anniversary by thanking everyone who has participated, listened or commented. Thank you!
(Oh and if you enjoy the pod, please rate and review)
I remember you announcing the pod! Blimey, that year has flown!! Thank you for all my wonderful trips on the bus and the many laughs along the way!
New picture, which is a good picture if you like guitars, stripes, skulls, bowler hats or pictures.
The Cov locals are coming up in May and I know where my vote is going. Its my only moral option.
It’s 33 years since the final episode of Absolutely was shown on Channel 4
Hartnell is an endless joy. I love his stories and his Doctor so, so much. Pure Who bliss.
It me.
Apparently I started this account 9 years ago and had no memory. I've only used it for the first time this week! 🤣

This would fit so nicely in the Tolkein bestiary, which as my formative introduction to LOTR is about the highest praise I can give! It has lovely, pre-movies vibe!
Then yes! Although vaguely.
Was it a white one? Thats unblocked a vague childhood memory!
BARAD DÛR
Its so convenient a way to refresh. Lord of the Rings gets a semi regular airing, His Dark Materials is also a semi regular. The only time I've managed the Silmarillion fully was the audiobook!
See also Dune, as that is often the tiniest print ever, which my old eyes now struggle with haha.
