Whether or not you're into the roguelite elements of Double Dragon Gaiden, you have to admire the fact that the devs are clearly passionate for the franchise. There's a reverence for Double Dragon in Gaiden that's completely lacking in Revive. Revive is a product. There's no love to be found there.

Honestly shocked that, in the battle of "Yuke's-developed games from different publishers released on the same day" Full Metal Schoolgirl actually seems to be beating Double Dragon Revive in both reviews and player count. That's pretty rough for Double Dragon, especially considering FMSG is pricier.

Late-night anxiety attack. Listening to Devil Sold His Soul's "A Fragile Hope" to center myself while I wait for the benzos to kick in. Absolutely perfect post-hardcore album (though they seem to have been largely claimed by the metalcore crowd, interestingly). 10/10 all-timer for me.

Update: They fixed it.

Bleach: Rebirth of Souls had an update a couple days ago, and somehow someone hit the wrong button and pushed the entire SVN folder to the public branch alongside the game's files, ballooning its size from ~70GB to ~160GB.

And it's still there two days later.

Another folder, "Misc J-pop and J-rock", most recent file is from 2007. My god it's all Gackt, Malice Mizer, Ayumi Hamasaki, and Bleach opening themes. Yep, that's a pretty solid representation of me in 2007. 😅

Looking through a music folder labeled "Misc Anime and Game" that hasn't been touched since 2005. There are no less than five variations of Simple and Clean/Hikari in here.

Just watched the Unsolved Mysteries segment on Liz Carmichael, a fraudster who also happened to be transgender, and it's pretty amazing that despite being a show from 1989, it never once misgenders her or treats her being trans as something weird or unusual. Shocking for the time, really.
