It’s the same issue as Canada. It’s a two party system. Yes, we have the Green Party and NDP(who I vote for), but most Canadians choose either Conservatives or Liberals. Both have fucked the country multiple times, but it’s an endless cycle. Like going back to the 2 same abusive exes.

It is so weird seeing humans devolving instead of evolving. I definitely think social media has had a huge part in this. Not having hate speech moderation has allowed the very loud minority to believe they are the majority and allowed them to spread their views to the less educated.

To add to this: Any GoFundMe pages for individuals (in any context) should always be treated with the upmost scepticism.

Gaza related ones especially - they’re often hard to verify, and to often have incredibly vague intent for the money. ‘$5k for safe passage into Egypt’ is meaningless on its own.
