i totally hear you on that. i really wish they would dedicate resources to allowing players to choose between both options, since i know there are also folks who play characters who get fem sets who'd prefer to cover up more

i can't count how many times i've gone to eorzea closet to get glam inspiration for a new top i really like, find a bunch of cute options for girls because there are SO MANY cute bottoms... and only like 2 or 3 guys that are using the same pants (that i usually don't like lol)

they do the same with tanks and maiming classes quite often. suffered in endwalker when i was a rpr main and wanted something sleeker to wear besides bulky armor :')

part of what bothers me about the "gendering" of so many glams (turning crop tops into longer shirts, shorts into pants) is that the male designs feel like an afterthought. like the girls' version was the initial concept, and they just slapped together something for guys. there's so little variation
