A little background on this fic!
-this is my first longform, built-out au for this fandom and I was nervous!
-it’s inspired by the relationship btwn Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, a lyricist who felt he was fundamentally unlovable, and that sense of loneliness and yearning comes out in his lyrics
