I’m not the first person to say this, but it bears repeating. If you cancel a billion dollar program before completion because you don’t like it, but that program already spent $800,000,000, you didn’t save a billion dollars, you wasted 800 million.

While it is true that many of the TdA members removed under the AEA do not have criminal records in the United States, that is because they have only been in the United States for a short period of time. The lack of a criminal record does not indicate they pose a limited threat. In fact, based upon their association with TdA, the lack of specific information about each individual actually highlights the risk they pose. It demonstrates that they are terrorists with regard to whom we lack a complete profile.

Mind-bending logic: While many of the people we're deporting without due process don't have criminal records, that just proves how dangerous they are as unmonitored terrorists!

Whether Judge Boasberg was correct on the law is largely irrelevant to whether the government is in contempt for willfully disobeying it. If the Trump administration knew there was an order from a federal judge and then willfully violated it, that is the end of the analysis.
