just saw the relay lineup team usa is using for todays 4x50 medley and it is not at all what i was expecting. tbh kinda gagged by it

just a casual short course worlds so far. gretchen breaking a world record and it’s only been prelims of day one. (i’m gonna be exhausted changing my fantasy team captain)

so for shits and giggles i completed my fantasy team that world aquatics has going on for scw, and let me tell you i think the women i picked alone might smoke my first picked male

like are they waiting for all the athletes to fly to budapest (thursday) bc i would assume (new swimming fan here) with less than a week until world champs they would drop the sheets

can the aqua federations of the world please get their acts together and finalize their rosters so world aquatics can drop the heat sheets for world champs so i can please go crazy making my spreadsheet and not worry abt who’s swimming what even

update: my math is very wrong due to the fact that the photo that world aquatics posted on their insta of what event regan is confirmed to be swimming has now been deleted, so my nice little spread sheet is all fucked up

if my math is correct, it most definitely isn’t bc i hand wrote everything), kate, regan and gretchen will each swim abt 15 times and that’s including relays (prelims and finals)

as a result of world aquatics dropping some of the events for the athletes to look out for during the scm scw, i took it upon myself to see who is swimming what even for the women on usa swimming and let me tell you, it’s a lot of individual swims for kate, gretchen and regan with torri pulling out

just saw a tweet abt how many swimming records uva has broken since 2021. do you think todd gives them a pizza party at the end of the season based on how many times they break a record during a season? bc if so it’s good motivation

or in a sense can new qualifying times be made because of the events that occurred in scm?

is it a different situation with potential relay options tho?

real quick question but when usa swimming dropped the roster for scw it said who’s qualified for what, so can a athlete swim a non-qualified event if the coaching staff wants them to?
