Don't listen to your head!
Start that business.
Go to that event.
Start exercising.
Start that book.
Write that post.
Send that text.
Talk to them.
Ask her out.
Call him.
Just do it, you got this!
You're sad and depressed because you don't see results after 1 week or 1 month?
Usain Bolt trained 4 years to run 9 seconds.
Your efforts and hard-work will bring results eventually.
You need to keep going πͺ
"Ship fast" often means shipping something unfinished, low-quality, and ignored.
Nobody cares about a half-baked product. They care about something that truly helps them.
Fast is useless if it doesnβt deliver value. Ship when itβs ready to matter.
Just keep making progress
"It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." β Confucius
Some days, youβll be too tired, others, youβll make little progress. Thatβs okay. Progress is about not stopping.
Zoom out: Are you further than 6 months ago?
Then youβre on the right track.
Does success make you happy?
What is your definition of success?
What is your definition of success if money was taken out of the equation?
My success is probably different that your view of success.
Don't follow others, build your own path.
If you were less afraid of other people's opinions, what would you say?
Trust yourself!
If money and status where no object, what would you do?
Believe in yourself!
Do you take the same amount of time when buying a phone or a car?
What about a dinner or a house?
We take longer time to buy a house because it's a larger amount, but also because it's scary and we are afraid to make a mistake in the process.
In my 9to5 I have:
- backend developers to blame
- managers to ask for things
- QA to check for bugs
- Designers to create for me
- marketing department for sales
- a boss to set goals
- a big boss to set the company direction
In my startup I'm all those things.
Most people have a poor people mindset..
Poor:
We can't live there because it's too expensive
It's so cheap now, I need to buy!
My kids tuition is so expensive!
Rich:
How can I get to live here?
Do I need to buy this?
How can I afford my kids tuition?
Even after reading about it and being aware of that one mistake, I fell right into it..
Almost every successful solopreneur says that you should validate your idea fast.
The goal is to build an MVP and launch to get fast feedback.
My goal now is to launch my MVP with free access.
Make it exist first.
You can make it look good later
Do you also do this?
I use Windsurf to build my product.
But I still use WebStorm to search, refactor, git management, revert changes, etc..
Anyone else??
They only change if they want to.
This can't be forced from the outside
If you're ambitious you need to get used to being alone.
When you're building something, most of your friends and family won't understand you (if any).
You are investing your time to build a better future for yourself.
Keep going!
Repeat after me:
Today I will prioritize marketing
Today I will prioritize marketing
Today I will prioritize marketing
Today I will prioritize marketing
Today I will prioritize marketing
Today I will prioritize marketing
Don't you just love to have the whole weekend to work on your startup?π§ββοΈ
*BAM!*
-Who's there?
-Life.
-Who?
-Your life:
- House chores,
- take out the trash,
- assemble that thing that you keep postponing,
- cooking
- family time
- hang that thing on the wall...
Repeat with me:
Focus on launching your MVP.
Focus on launching your MVP.
Focus on launching your MVP.
Focus on launching your MVP.
Focus on launching your MVP.
My Sunday's mood ποΈπ
If you want to know what you did wrong, tell anyone something you did that you're proud of.
If you are looking for praise, look inside yourself.
There are only 2 people in your life that you should make proud:
- it's not your mum
- not your dad
- not your partner
- not your kids
- not your friends
- not your mentor
It's your 8 years old self.
And your 80 year old self.
If they are happy, you are happy.
Do you also hold yourself when you see the finish line?
It's like I don't want to reach it.
It's probably self doubt and fear of what's ahead.
But we need to keep going!
For the past couple of weeks, I have been trying to help someone improve their life.
But I forgot that a person can only change if they want to.
You cannot force them to change.
I'm in a mindset of continuous improvement and learning, but that doesn't mean that others are too
