While not as fun as participating live, this deep dives list might scratch the discussion itch: youtube.com/playlist?lis...
I have always been for permanent standard time but now I’m being convinced permanent daylight savings might have some benefits I hadn’t considered 🧐
Some recent ones that I borrowed from the library on audio and was impressed by include Daisy Darker, Remarkably Bright Creatures, and Piranesi. Books I remember with fondness that I reread and held up include include Pern and WoT but next on my list to reread: Elizabeth Moon’s Death of Sleep books
Don’t want to raise anyone’s expectations too much but I just watched Hoppers at the theatre with my family and friends and I have not seen so much synchronous laughing and gasps from a theatre full of people in a long time. Excellent movie and highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Reading “well-turned calves” in a book that isn’t Wheel of Time feels like whiplash.
It’s a common enough phrase, but seeing it describe anyone other than Valan Luca feels almost blasphemous.

There is @michaellivingston.com ‘s book on the Origins as well as some short stories you might not have read yet like River of Souls and A Fire Within Ways 😉 and just ask #WoTSkies any questions. There is so much in the text you just read that you missed that most fans find the second read 🤯
👀
As backer #12,036 I was sorely tempted by the swag but opted just for the books because I don’t need more stuff in my life (books are always exempt from being categorized as “stuff”) - very excited about the Fires of December 🔥
Meh was my opinion as well. I was willing to finish it because the plot advanced fast enough to keep my attention but wasn’t my cup of tea. Done after 1 for me and would rather reread another story than continue. Lots of potential but Pern was done better if looking for dragonriders.
Maybe they can give you a few dollars off? Looks beautiful otherwise 🥰
Start with Mistborn or Warbreaker. I personally love the short story the Emperor’s Soul, another good place to start if you don’t want a longer novel. I believe he put out a “starter pack” if you want to check that out
Mine at that age went straight to voice to text and as a result seemed very good at spelling. I’ll never forget the first text from his watch at 4 years old: “come downstairs” to find him pop up from behind the couch saying “it works!?” 🥰

Don’t let that stop you. They did an amazing job and it’s worth watching and appreciating how good a job the cast and crew did each season to bring the characters to life. Don’t forget to sign at saveWoT.con and read the books #WoTSkies
After writing music for shows like The Wheel Of Time, I decided to turn the lens inward, and write something personal.
Inspired by Walden by Henry David Thoreau.
The title track of a three-EP interconnected concept.
Face the Music is out now.
#WoTSkies knows it’s intentional 😉
Yea don’t continue. I’m sure it was a well intentioned gift - this might be interesting to you youtu.be/W6ylsQ0DepI?...
If you haven’t yet signed the petition to convince Sony to shop it around go to saveWoT.com
Have you added your name to SaveWoT.com to help convince Sony to shop it around?
For the US east coast the poster child right now is the spotted lanternfly but did you know the best way to slow and stop them is to remove a particular type of invasive tree that most people are blind to? Learn to ID and remove the Tree of Heaven and you will do more than smashing/squishing could.
Way of Kings is more worldbuilding than Wheel of Time so maybe you start with a summary video of the setting? I love both but it’s on a reread that you appreciate the nuance and detail so maybe a primer video from a fan channel will help. For WoT unraveling the pattern youtube.com/playlist?lis...
And if you don’t want to read the series because of the commitment you can still find out how it ends with this entertaining summary of the *book* plot which is a bit different from the show but not so much you will be unable to follow youtu.be/YpJOwUD1oTo?...
Add your name to the growing list - if Sony pays any attention they will find a way to give it another shot saveWoT.com #WoTSkies keeps advocating
Please urge your US senators to vote NO on the “Pet and Livestock Protection Act” (wolves rarely kill pets and are responsible for <1% of livestock deaths). It takes minutes with a letter you can personalize and @stopextinction.bsky.social will send for you: actionnetwork.org/letters/stop.... 🌎

it only becomes more and more fascinating to compare the books to the TV show with all the plot points moved around and characters that are wholesale erased lol. i apologize, thom merrilin, i was unfamiliar with your game
