As for Necroms' case, I haven't fully flushed out their story yet but mainly they guard the very important magic door which also drained their mental state to the point of nihilism over thousands of years as a side effect which is why all their powers are monochrome.

Well the ability to use light or dark in magic is more due to the magic system of my story since light magic is the control of photons.

Oh no, this guy is Necroms. Tenmo is my sona who I just put here to narrate stuff about Necroms like how Genshin does for their characters.

For clarification, Necroms can be considered as a godlike entity. He's the god for the Light element which also includes darkness so he can use both.
