i'd also like to directly confront the idea that, well, for "some reason", things that used to be forums, wikis, websites ended up on discord.

it's not a mystery. running a website, wiki, whatever, is hard. maintaining a community is hard. getting people to engage with things is hard.

if you find a minor in your adult space, you remove them. that's it. that's the extent of your responsibility to society if you're not the minor's parent.
anyone who says there need to be laws and age verification to keep minors out of your adult space is either naive or has ulterior motives
