An Oregon judge temporarily banned federal agents from using tear gas at protests outside the ICE office in Portland, days after agents deployed the chemical agents during a largely peaceful demonstration in the city that included children.
Last year, I was introduced to HOLLA — a Portland education nonprofit that intertwines culture with schooling to empower youth of color.

Woodstock is a cafe that is run in ASL. Most baristas are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Besides coffee, they have game nights, knitting meetups, sign language groups and more.
