I get lots of spam emails that supposedly want to honor me for my outstanding education achievements (there are none, I'm a district office administrator). I always assumed it was just a way for them to make a list of people likely to respond to things like that.

Literally the same people and orgs who funded, manufactured, and amplified reactionary panics about pandemic safety measures, CRT, LGBTQ+ inclusive curriculum, sex Ed, and trans kids in sports (leading to riots and harassment campaigns in our district/across SoCal) using the SAME tactics again.
Despite being in San Diego, Amy Reichert and people like her are highly connected with reactionary activists and groups across SoCal, including in Glendale where she has promoted the violent LOKA group. Just like with anti-trans propaganda, it seems the NY Times is playing a role here too.
The show gets very much better in seasons 2, 3, and 4, and once you've finished, go back and watch season 1 again, and you'll pick up on things you missed the first time.
