I'm not sure if people share stories here (or read the ones that are shared) but fwiw, I've got a new story out in @newyorker.com today that means a great deal to me. It's about a writer I love, and an amazing cache of long-lost photographs from WW1: www.newyorker.com/news/letter-...

hey remember when a rich ceo died then when they caught the suspect they made a circus of it like they found osama bin laden and charged him with terrorism but less than weeks ago two democrat lawmakers and their spouses were shot as literal assassination to shift control and everyone already forgot

Just told my 10yo daughter about Elon Musk. She had tears in her eyes. And then she did the Wakanda pose and said "#Muskanda forever"βwhich is the sort of pop culture cross-over I can celebrate.
And then she asked if it's true that there's white genocide in Muskanda.

Yesterday, 1,400 protests were held to protest the Trump whose headlines fill this page. But to the #BrokenTimes this morning, they are a buried BTW. It has plenty of photos; none here. This is what they call "news judgment." To the Times, we are not news.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.
We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.
They own what happens next.
