Sometimes I like to have 5 o’clock shadow.
But I’m never really sure whether the shadow is 5am or 5pm shadow. Is it the Jungian shadow, sitting at the moment of choice, in order to make change possible without losing myself entirely?
Anyway, I chose not to shave this morning.
Have a blessed Winter Solstice, may the light of your ancestors work through you to set freedom in motion toward deep growth and healing for those you love and care for.
May you tend to your own through making and speaking from deep truth unyieldingly.
Whomst among us could possibly have imagined that a man who has already aligned himself with some of the very worst people would also turn out to have been mates with Epstein?
P320?
It’s a bit of a shame that he became president so young. His grasp of constitutional law would have made him a great AG. I feel like we missed out on that.
NGL, if I were still driving bus, I could get my bus out of this.
It would definitely be one of those situations where I didn’t actually know that I wasn’t going to hit anything, and was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t, though.
Yeah… THAT’S the look! Comic book supervillain Nazi. He’s got it down so well, I’m half tempted to ask who animated these pics?
I picked up a used Catalinbread Antichthon the other day. Here it is with an EQD Afterneath following it.
NGL, it might be a cringe look, but he pulls it off flawlessly.
Yes but, who among us would not hit that guy with a rock if given the opportunity?
I cannot for the life of me fathom why we do this weird game with political actors after they’ve left the White House, they go on high paying book and speaking tours as post-power influencers.
It’s an utterly bizarre phenomenon.
What’s next, brand endorsements?
Nothing else in my life might feel
in order, but I’m really glad to have been able to get out to these shows this year.
The weirdest part about the POTUS’ absurd move to deploy 200 Oregon National Guard personnel to Portland to assist federal LE in defending federal properties from small and kinda boring protests has been watching social media shitposters regurgitating the same jokes and comments over and over again.
It’s been a minute since I bashed out a synth loop arrangement in one sitting to the point where I felt like it was pretty much done.
This was fun.
Finally got around to plugging my Pawn shop special rebuild into my recently acquired JC-120.
Here’s what it sounds like with my Harby Big Muff clone & Red Panda Particle granular delay.
Been doodling in guitar a lot lately…
It is complete!
I took a single humbucker strat and made it into a triple humbucker Strat with some strange resonant qualities.
I would bookmark that spreadsheet.
Guitar project almost complete.
I have the Lil’ Screamin Demon in the middle position, now. I want to pick up a decent wire stripper and then get to my soldering.
I also have the interior of the guitar body lined with copper foil tape, grounded to itself.
Yeah… the air strikes against uranium enrichment sites in a country that happens to also have F-14 Tomcats (the starring piece of equipment of the Top Gun movies)… is a little on the nose.
Life imitating art, go check out a plot synopsis of Top Gun l: Maverick (the sequel from just the other year).
These are some of the surviving F-14 Tomcats that were given to Iran by the U.S. in 1979 just before the revolution.

RIP, legends.
• When installing the new bridge, I left the old tremolo plate with the ground wire attached, so that I can just reattach THAT wire to my new guitar guts as my ground, instead of trying to just start the whole process from scratch.
Other considerations (in no order):
• I’m probably going to run a ground wire between my pots (even despite the brass pick guard probably providing sufficient grounding) as a failsafe, anyway.
2. The copper foil tape I got for real cheap aparently doesnt have very conducive adhesive. So, Im gonna grab the 3M version which very much does. If there isn’t a conductive to conductive connection between strips of copper tape, you have to ground them together to get the desired shielding effect.
(specifically, the neck version of the JB Jr. has a resonant frequency of ~5kHz, as opposed to the bridge’s 3.6kHz. This is a better match to the Black Winter - the humbler @ the bridge position - and it’s 6.68kHz rf, and the Cool Rails - @ the neck position - and it’s 5.2kHz rf).
1. I got a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. bridge pickup for my middle pickup. I think I’d rather go with a JB Jr. neck pickup so that the resonant frequencies of the three pickups are closer together.
